Climbers


The two telescopic columns show images of plants that have become a part of the architecture of a botanical glass house.

Plants often are allowed to have a relationship with buildings for esthetical reasons, even though they often deteriorate the architecture's structural elements. When removed from the walls and beams, the remains of the plants and signs of the destruction become visible like scars on the building.

The texture of the concrete base of the scluptures is remeniscent of roots of plants, or the intricate tunnelsystems created by ants.
